South Korea’s imports amounted to US$45.56 billion, an increase of 29.2% over the same month of the previous year. Accumulated imports from January to August were USD 348.88 billion, an increase of 26.7% over the same period of last year.
In South Korea's imports in August, overall raw material imports increased by 30.6% over the same period of the previous year, of which natural gas increased by 77.2%, coal imports increased by 35.5%, and crude oil imports increased by 29.8%. Total imports of capital goods increased by 6.9%, of which aircraft imports increased by 630.8%, auto parts increased by 23.6%, semiconductor manufacturing equipment inspectors 39.5%, and cargo ships decreased by 33.8%.
The overall import of consumer goods increased by 18.2%, of which jackets and jackets imported increased by 109.3%, beef imports increased by 45.8%, and pork imports increased by 92.1%.
