Development and Reform Commission: In the first 10 months, the total profit of domestic textile companies increased by 29%

China’s National Development and Reform Commission announced that from January to November, the textile enterprises in the Mainland with a scale of more than 35,900 (main business income of RMB 20 million*** (hereinafter the same)) had realized a gross industrial output value of 495.64 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.5%. Decrease by 2.5 percentage points from January to June.

From January to November, the total retail sales of consumer goods in the country reached 1,638.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17%. Among them, retail sales above the designated value for clothing, footwear, hats, and needle textiles were 700.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%, and the growth rate was flat from January to June. From January to November, exports of textiles and clothing were 863.7 and 139.78 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 24% and 19.5% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 4.8 and 4.2 percentage points lower than that in the first six months respectively.

From January to October, the textile enterprises above designated size achieved a total profit of 215.56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29%. The growth rate was 12.3 percentage points lower than that in the first six months. The industry-wide profit margin was 5%, which was basically the same as the same period of last year.
