APP responds to Greenpeace's allegations against Indonesia and toy industry

Greenpeace’s allegations that mixed tropical wood pulp was found in some of our products are meaningless. The Indonesian government approved a legal forest of raw materials that does contain some of the degraded rainforests. However, given the increase in carbon emissions caused by the incineration of these rainforests and the potential for causing disease, local laws have stipulated that these degraded rainforests should be developed into plantations. Used for pulping. In addition, we have publicly promised that by the end of 2015, pulpwood procurement will be entirely derived from sustainably managed plantations. APP has always opposed any illegal logging practices, and it will not allow the use of tropical forests with high conservation value for papermaking.

For the packaging papers attacked in the Greenpeace report, we can proudly say that 95% of our raw materials for packaging paper production are recycled paper from around the world. In the recycling of recycled paper, APP is Indonesia's leading company.

We urge Greenpeace to be responsible to the public and open its basis for allegations, including detailed scientific analysis and independent investigation reports. Based on our "zero-tolerance" attitude towards illegal timber, we also want to know what products of the "illegal" raw materials we use are alleged by the organization.
