What is copper ammonia fiber?

Cuprammonuium is a kind of regenerated cellulose fiber, which is prepared by dissolving natural cellulose raw materials such as cotton linters in a concentrated ammonia solution of copper hydroxide or alkaline copper salt, and forming a spinning solution in a coagulation bath. The molecular chemical decomposition of the copper-copper cellulose regenerates the cellulose, and the produced hydrated cellulose is post-processed to obtain a copper-ammonia fiber.

The copper-ammonia fiber has a circular cross section and no sheath core structure. The fiber can withstand high tensile strength, and the obtained monofilament is fine, generally below 1.33 dtex (1.2 denier) and up to 0.44 dtex (0.44 denier). Therefore, the fabric feels soft, soft and has a silky feel.

The hygroscopicity of the copper-ammonia fiber is close to that of the viscose fiber, and its nominal moisture regain is 11%. Under normal atmospheric conditions, the moisture regain rate can reach 12%-13%. Under the same dyeing conditions, the dyeing affinity of copper-ammonia fiber is better. Viscose fibers are large and darker in color.

The dry strength of copper-ammonia fiber is close to that of viscose fiber, but the wet strength is higher than that of viscose fiber, and the wear resistance is better than viscose fiber.

Due to the softness of the fibers and the good luster, it is commonly used as a high-grade silk or knit fabric. Its taking performance is excellent, hygroscopicity is good, it is very drape, and its taking performance is similar to silk, which is in line with the trend of environmental protection clothing.
