The second "Tonghe Cup" national textile industry news work and the press conference for the selection and commendation of outstanding reporters were held in Beijing on August 15. Wang Tiankai said that the cotton issue that the industry is most concerned about has received the attention of the whole society due to multiple media reports from various perspectives, all-round, and different forms. The current research on the cotton direct subsidies policy has been put on the agenda of the relevant state agencies. The media This cannot be done. Wang Tiankai pointed out that although the economic operation of the textile industry was generally stable in the first half of this year, sales, profit margins, and the proportion of three fees have shown a good trend, but it is not ruled out that the industry's economic trend for the whole year is slightly lower than in the first half of the year. In this case, Wang Tiankai hopes that the news media should pay close attention to the development of SMEs. He said that currently there are 37,000 textile enterprises above designated size in the textile industry, and more than 90% are below-scale enterprises. Transformation and upgrading are not all to do brand scale, the future development of the textile industry is bigger and stronger large enterprises, small enterprises do fine to do. He said that large companies need a large number of small enterprises to support, there is no small business, and there will not be large and strong. Therefore, we need to disseminate the successful experiences of very good SMEs and promote the development of an equitable industrial system at the policy level.

Yang Jizhao, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Sun Huaibin, deputy secretary-general of the China Textile Association and director of the Information Center, represented the organizer of the event and gave a detailed introduction of the background, selection scope, standards, awards, and activities of the second press award event.

Sun Huaibin said that unlike the inaugural session, this year's news works and excellent journalists were judged in two categories, integrated media and industry media. Each category of media rated 3 excellent journalist awards, 1 first prize for works, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes. The press awards were submitted from November 15th to December 15th, 2013. All kinds of awards were submitted in January 2014, and commendation activities were held in due course.

Cui Guisheng, chairman of Changzhou Tonghe Textile Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., introduced the original intention of the two consecutive titles of the “Town Cup” news award and the current status and prospects of the company's development.
